Privacy policy
We're a home builder, not a data company. We collect only what we need to answer your questions, design and build your home, and keep you informed, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email, phone number, the kind of project you're interested in and your message.
- When you join our newsletter: your email address.
- If you're a client or trade partner with a portal account: your name and email, plus the project information we share with you there, such as plans, schedules, selections, approvals, invoices, documents, messages and site photos.
- Sign-in cookies: when you sign in to a portal, your browser keeps a small cookie so you stay signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and talk with you about your project.
- To run your project: share plans and updates, record your decisions, send invoices and email you when something needs your attention.
- To send our newsletter, if you signed up. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Who helps us run the site
We use a few trusted services to host the website, store project information and files securely, and deliver email. They handle your information only on our behalf. When we use a project's address to show the local weather forecast, only the address is sent to a weather and mapping service, never your name or contact details. We may also share information when the law requires it.
How we protect it
Portal pages and project files are private. Each person can see only the projects they belong to, files are shared through short-lived secure links, and all traffic to the site is encrypted.
How long we keep it
We keep project records for as long as we need them to build and warranty your home and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Inquiries that don't become projects and newsletter sign-ups are kept until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email andrew@distilledhomes.com or call 817.239.1344, and we'll take care of it.
Children
Our website and portals are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
